AI won't replace you — people using it will.

For a while the AI question I heard most from my teams was the anxious one: "will this take our jobs?"

Open to Work reframed it for me. The threat was never the tool, it's the colleague who learns it first. And it cuts upward too: if leadership doesn't adopt it, the gains stay trapped in pockets and never compound across the company. Access and adoption decide the winners, not the technology itself.

Stop asking whether AI will replace the work. Ask who on your team is already fluent with it and whether you've made it safe and expected, for everyone else to catch up.
